Our Clients Say It Best...
I’ve been going to Dr. Judy Ichiuji ever since I first got glasses in the third grade. Now that I am an adult, I live much further away, but I still make the annual trip out to the Valley to have my examination with her. She is professional, courteous and, most of all, has a geniune concern for the well-being of her patients. My mother always said that she brought us to Dr. Ichiuji because Dr. Ichiuji treated us like her own children. The rest of the staff is fantastic, with patient assistance in selecting eye-wear and thorough test work. Yes, maybe you’re not going to get in and out in a jiffy, but when you’re dealng with something as important as your eyes, why would you want to cut corners?
Dr. Judy is one of a kind. She takes a holistic approach with her patients. She not only provides excellent eye care but always takes time to listen and offer support. I feel like she is part of our family. Thank you all for such terrific care.
My optometrist, Dr. Judy Ichiuji, is extra-ordinarily professional, thorough, and an excellent listener. The opticians are kind and have good eyes for design. As is noted below, the process of exam and selected eyewear is not a fast one. Note that I felt the same way at this app’t as I did at my one last year.
I saw Dr. Monji and had a great experience! The office staff are very friendly and helpful. Dr. Monji was very professional yet approachable at the same time. I hadn’t had my eyes checked in over 8 years, luckily nothing was wrong except a slight astigmatism. Just got a call from them and my glasses are ready for pickup, it was less than a week! I highly recommend this place for your optometry needs =)
Dr. Judy is very professional & friendly. Thank you for making this a great experience!!! See y’all next year!!!

Specialty Contact Lenses
Keratoconus and Wearing Contact Lenses
If your eyes have a conical shape, this scatters the light as it comes in, creating blurred or distorted vision, increased sensitivity to light, glare and mild eye irritation - this is an eye condition known as Keratoconus. However, even with this condition, you may be able to wear contact lenses, specially suited to address this issue.
Hybrid Contact Lenses
Can I Wear Contacts w/ an Astigmatism?
If you have astigmatism- a condition where the eye isn't perfectly round, but more football- or egg-shaped - then you'll require a special design of contact lenses called "toric" lenses for clear vision.
Multifocal Contact Lenses: The Next Solution
Progressive Frames or LASIK: Which Would You Choose?
It happens to everyone: nearsightedness (or presbyopia) sets in at about age 40. The good news is that there are a myriad of treatment options available to you: progressive lenses such as multifocal eyeglasses, multifocal contacts, artificial lenses and, more recently, multifocal LASIK eye surgery. To help decide which choice is right for you contact your Monji Optometry eye doctor today!
Is There a Difference Between Dry Eyes and Red Eyes?
There are times that your eyes may be red and other times they may be dry as well. Persistent dryness, scratchiness and a burning sensation on your eyes are common symptoms of dry eye syndrome. These symptoms alone may be enough for your eye doctor to diagnose dry eye syndrome. Chronic dry eye can cause the surface of the eye to become inflamed and irritated, making your eyes look red. Your eye doctor at Monji Optometry can help with treatment options.
